I am sending you this information as it is possible that you have not been aware of incredible success of our three British girls in the Europa Cup – bob skeleton.

3 athletes came through the Girls for Gold selection process.

Each successful in their own sport - all willing to change sport for their country.

Lizzy Yarnold – A successful athlete. Background Javelin, shotput , heptathlon

Laura Deas – A successful 3 day event rider

Rose MacGrandle- A hockey player.

The incredible coaching/ training provided by a team of coaches led by Andy Schmitt has taken these three girls from their own sport and after 18 months of dedication and commitment the girls started to compete for, and win for GB, this season.

They have completed 5 races out of a series of 7
Races 6 and 7 are to be held in Germany this weekend.

The three girls are part of a group known as the “skeleton futures”

There are two boys in the squad James Hoad and Ed   Both of these boys are new to the sport and successful.

I believe that there were over 80 competitors in Igls and GB took 8 trophies

I include a number of links that might be of interest to you.

Lizzy is currently sponsored by Yarnold and Partners Property Consultants and Hardy Underwriting.

She is most greatful to them for their support.

An additional sponsor would be appreciated.

You may not be aware that these athletes have to pay their own travel and accommodation during training whilst in the UK . Even buying new blades for the sled and a new crash helmet is down to the athlete.

Should you, or your company, be interested in sponsoring Lizzy please get in touch with her via her website.

Thank you
