If you are unable to attend the auction we will attend and bid on your behalf. Alternatively we are able to accompany you both on the day and viewing prior to auction. Forthcoming auctions.
How to survive an auction
- Make sure funds are available – gaining finance is the hardest hurdle when buying at auction
- Order catalogues early to allow for research
- View properties with a survey or a builder
- Do everything you would if buying through an agent – there is masses of information available online
- Your solicitor should look at the legal pack
- Attend the auction in person to gauge the competition
- Arrive early and follow the bidding closely
- Don’t go mad, but be ready to go a bit over budget
- Check special conditions to see if the vendor offers longer completions. This is useful to arrange funds
- Remain level-headed and don’t allow yourself to fall in love with a house
